Is it safe to buy Telegram members? Bans, scams and what actually goes wrong

Published: 13 October 2026

Short answer: buying members is safe for the channel when the service works by link only. Telegram's rules target spam and mass messaging, not the member count; channels are not banned for the counter. The real risks are different: losing your account to a “free members” bot that asks for a login code, paying a seller who disappears, and ending up with a channel whose numbers do not match its reach. Each one below.

Can Telegram ban a channel for bought members

No: the member count by itself does not break Telegram's rules, which prohibit spam, mass messaging and fraud. What Telegram does regularly is remove inactive and suspicious accounts; for a channel owner that shows up as member drop, not as a sanction against the channel. Refill offers top the drop back up. The only scenario where bought members create a rules problem is deception: selling a “grown” channel or faking numbers for an advertiser.

What is actually dangerous

  • Services that ask for a login code, password or admin rights. Members are added by channel link; account access is needed only by someone who wants to take the account.
  • “Free Telegram members”: bots, APK files and subscription-exchange sites. They either subscribe your account to dozens of other channels or steal it.
  • Prepayment to a personal wallet with no cabinet, order number or status. If the order cannot be seen in a list with its state, there is nothing to dispute later.
  • Promises of “100% real, non-drop forever” at $0.30 per 1,000. No service can cancel Telegram's clean-ups; the honest promise is a refill for a stated period.

How to spot fake accounts among members

A channel owner cannot see who is behind an account, and no service can verify every member as a “real person”. The usual signs people look at: no photo and no username, a recently created account, no activity in comments. It is more useful to look at the ratio of post views to members: a channel with a live audience holds it at tens of percent, a padded channel without views drops to single digits. Advertisers look at the same ratio, so members make sense together with post views and real readers.

What really hurts a channel

  • A gap between members and reach: 10,000 members and 200 views is visible to everyone. Fix it with post views and a real audience from seeding and ads.
  • Drop without refill: the channel loses part of the added members after clean-ups. Choose a refill offer if the counter must hold.
  • An empty channel: without regular posts and reactions both paid and free members leave.

What TGFocus asks for and what it never asks for

An order needs only a public or invite link to the channel or group. A password, login code, admin rights or any account access are never requested. Payment happens in the cabinet at app.tgfocus.com from the balance; every order has a number and a status; the undelivered part is refunded to the balance, and refill offers top up drops. How we verify services and what counts as a completed order is on the methodology page.
